ConnectWise RMM alternative for Windows-first MSPs
ConnectWise RMM is an established, multi-platform RMM with broad monitoring, automation, patching, remote support, and service options. Nizlo is an earlier-stage Windows-first RMM with public pricing and unlimited endpoints. They are not equivalent products.
The honest short version
ConnectWise RMM is the stronger shortlist choice when platform breadth, ScreenConnect, a mature alert catalog, expert services, or a larger MSP ecosystem matter most. Nizlo does not claim that breadth. Its narrower case is a small Windows-first MSP that wants to test transparent, unlimited-endpoint economics without replacing the rest of its stack.
Pricing visibility
ConnectWise RMM: The current pricing and package pages direct RMM buyers to request pricing; they do not publish a numeric list price.
Nizlo: $59/month Core, $79/month Scale, or $99/month Suite, with one technician and unlimited RMM endpoints included.
Trial
ConnectWise RMM: A 30-day, no-card trial of core features, with real endpoints allowed, onboarding support included, and setup typically taking one to two business days.
Nizlo: A 14-day, no-card trial for a Windows-first pilot. Applying or starting a trial does not reserve a Founding Tester discount.
Platform coverage
ConnectWise RMM: Essentials lists Windows, macOS, and Linux. Higher packages add capabilities such as VM, network, cloud, and Microsoft 365 coverage.
Nizlo: Windows x64 generally available; macOS packaging is still in acceptance and Linux is planned.
Monitoring and alerts
ConnectWise RMM: An established catalog of intelligent alerts, remediation, dashboards, device discovery, network visibility, and optional expert or NOC services.
Nizlo: Earlier-stage Windows-first monitoring, alerts, inventory, and operational evidence; no claim of catalog, NOC, or platform-breadth parity.
Patching and automation
ConnectWise RMM: Automated Windows and third-party patching, policies, reboot controls, reporting, scripts, and AI-assisted scripting and monitor generation.
Nizlo: Windows-first patching and scripting workflows that should be validated for approvals, targeting, rollback, audit history, and failure handling.
Remote and ecosystem
ConnectWise RMM: ScreenConnect remote access is included in Essentials; package scope expands in Premium. APIs, PSA integration, and a broad marketplace support a larger stack.
Nizlo: Built-in Windows-first remote workflow and a ticketing foundation; no claim of ScreenConnect, PSA, marketplace, or integration parity.
Build a quote you can actually compare
ConnectWise's current pages offer a pricing request, not a public numeric list price. Ask for written totals at the same three fleet sizes, then compare the complete operating cost.
ConnectWise RMM is the stronger fit when
You need established operational breadth
- Windows, macOS, Linux, VM, network, cloud, or Microsoft 365 coverage is required now
- ScreenConnect, PSA integration, APIs, a marketplace, or the wider ConnectWise platform is operationally important
- a mature alert catalog, expert services, or an outsourced NOC outweigh self-serve price visibility
- the team can evaluate a tailored package, quote, add-ons, onboarding, and contract terms
Nizlo may be worth testing when
Your immediate scope is a small Windows fleet
- public month-to-month pricing matters before a sales conversation
- unlimited RMM endpoints fit better than a tailored package and quote
- the PSA, documentation, security, backup, and network stack can remain separate
- an early-product pilot and direct influence on the roadmap are acceptable

Begin with authorized lab or noncritical systems. Define the expected outcome, preserve evidence, and include commercial and ecosystem dependencies that could change the final decision.
Windows-first founding pilot
Evaluate Nizlo for 14 days without a credit card.
Qualified MSP and IT operators can test real workflows and report bugs, missing capabilities, onboarding friction, and trust barriers. Founding Tester discounts are awarded by successful paid-upgrade order: the first five receive 75% off for life, the next five 50%, and the next ten 25%. Applying or starting a trial does not reserve a position.
